The Hub's "Stuttgart Mural"
In 2017, The Hub Youth Centre in Stuttgart began painting a mural in their "High School Room," a popular vector drawing of the Stuttgart skyline.

I was brought on board and made the piece more unique, freehand-drawing other memorable Stuttgart buildings, such as the Mercedes Museum, the Hauptbahnhof, the Hub building itself, and the U-Bahn trains roaring through the tunnels.

The mural spans 32 ' by 6 ' high (9.7 m x 1.8 m).
Marley Mosaic
I grew up listening to Bob Marley, he was my father's favourite artist. I used to belt out such lyrics as "Pixie dust!" instead of "Exodus" and "Cer-e-al!" for "Stir-it-up!"

For the Christmas of 2016, I decided to make a mosaic of Marley for my dad. Using a reference drawing (original by Amando Aquino), and my mother's help, we hid the project in their studio, under threats of dire consequences should he peak.

On Christmas Eve, 2 1/2 weeks into production, I was still not finished--with one night left, my nose was to the grindstone. I had even brought my sleeping bag down to the studio, in case I needed to spend the night.

I finished the mosaic around 1 or 2 in the morning, and carefully set it under the Christmas tree with a sheet draped over for wrapping. He loved it.
Kelley Child Development Centre - Fairytale Mural
Mid November of 2018, I was helping one of the teachers paint her room at the Kelley CDC in Stuttgart. Whimsically, she thought aloud how cool it would be to put a mural up on the wall...

"I can paint you a mural," I said.

The next week, the centre's director had bought me an array of paints, and thus it began. The project was completed, and I was then invited to paint a mural for the infant room, which I completed just before I moved to Budapest, Hungary.

Bowie Mosaic
Following the Marley Mosaic, my appetite was whet for more.
David Bowie had just died, and he seemed like an interesting subject to try next. This time I selected the colours myself, and drew the design completely by hand.
The piece measures 2'5" x 2'10" (74cm x 86cm).
Lips Red As Blood - Graphic Novel
A re-telling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves...but with zombies.

The Wandering Yarn Project
In 2016, after relearning how to knit, I began something I called "The Wandering Yarn Project."

The Project was inspired after I traveled to Germany, and ended up in the basement of a some little yarn shop holding the most beautiful yarn I’d ever seen. “Wouldn’t it be cool,” I thought, “if I bought yarn everywhere I traveled, knitted it into scarves, sold the scarves so I could afford to go on more trips, buy more yarn, and knit MORE scarves!?” So, that’s exactly what I did.

You can read more about it, and see the scarves I've made, at the Wandering Yarn Project's website.
Alice in Bibleland
In 2015 I was approached to illustrate a re-publishing of Alice Joyce Davidson's iconic 1980s book series, "Alice in Bibleland." Ultimately the publisher insisted on an in-house illustrator, but it was a great experience in digital painting and the following are some of my favourite pages, and character design.
